Connections - Making connections with people I wouldn't otherwise know is a by-product of my photography business that I really didn't expect, and is now one of my most favorite parts of my business. This family is so joyful, and it comes from the grandparents who passed it to their three children, who have in turn passed it to the eight grandchildren. Allison, Barbara and Jim's daughter, found me online and coordinated with me, to provide her family with a photo session to help commemorate her mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary, and also their 70th birthdays this year! One of the grandchildren said, "Wait, you mean you got married when you were 20?!" Yes, that is true! Most of the family lives in Ohio, with the exception of Allison's brother and his family who live in Chicago. The grandchildren range in age from four to 14. Foster, Allison and Mike's son and one of the two oldest and starting high school this Fall, plays basketball. I'm told he would have preferred to watch the NBA draft as opposed to having a photo session. That said, he had a great attitude and I never would have known it! He has two sisters, Lily going into 7th grad and Sophie going into 5th. Chris (or Jeff - I just could not keep these two names straight:), Allison's brother, and his wife Sarah, have two sweet girls, Keely, going into 9th grade, and Maggie, who plays lacrosse and tennis, going into 6th. The youngest brother, Jeff, and his wife Rachel, have three adorable boys, Andrew and Quinton in elementary school, and 4-year-old Cole, who loves to play with and throw sand, and was very good for the photos! After the photo session, the parents let the kids get in the warm ocean in their nice outfits, which I just love. They had so much fun! This family has vacationed in Myrtle Beach and chose to visit Duck this summer. I'm so glad they did, and hope they come back next year!
