The Hoagland Family in Duck - June 27, 2018
This fun family from NJ and FL met in Duck to vacation and celebrate Irene's 70th birthday! She wanted a beach family portrait and we had a fun session and got some great photos despite some challenging conditions. The session had originally been scheduled for sunset the evening before, but we rescheduled due to rain and wind, and started a bit earlier the next day. That means the sun was still bright and high in the sky. We had some beautiful light with the dunes in the background, but we really wanted a family portrait with the ocean in the background as well. We had about a 3'x6' spot of shade to work with, and fit 11 people in, and we did it and got some beautiful photos! Happy birthday Irene, and I hope to see you back next summer!
