Do you see that light?! I really prefer natural light and do everything I can to set my sessions up for the best natural light possible. Every evening is good, but some are just better than others on the beach, and this was one of them. We can't control the weather and the clouds and the wind and the humidity. A giant thunderstorm rolled through about an hour before this session, and we just squeezed it in before sunset. The storm clouds with the sun peeking in and out during Golden Hour made for a beautiful evening. This is Diane, Jerry, and Caroline from West Virginia. Diane works for an insurance company and Jerry is a high school teacher who runs his school's ROTC program. Their daughter, Caroline, is going into 11th grade. Caroline participates in show choir at her school and I think it sounds so fun! They use costumes and perform show tunes, traveling all over their home state and to other states to compete. There are so many cool opportunities at school now. And let's not forget Lucy, the sweet dog. She's an important member of the family and this was her first visit to the beach! I was there when she was let off the leash for the first time, and she loved it, running in circles for a few minutes before the photos. Oh and sometimes I ask for ridiculously cheesey things from couples who have been married for years, to get a romantic photo, and I love the reactions. Sometimes the reactions are romantic, and sometimes I get genuine laughter, and sometimes the former follows the latter. I love it all!
